There are a lot of night photos of the NCPA from this angle. While taking this photo there were at least 20 cameras set up around me waiting on the sun to go down and the clicking to begin. While I enjoy these cool pollution free evenings in Beijing, the Chinese photography fraternity gets a little crazy. The quest to get the same nightshot turns into reality tv with groups looking at everyone's camera and deciding who did the best and who captured something that was seen in an ad.

 

With this in mind, I have been experimenting with red filters in NIK and trying to isolate a single piece of architecture as a simple black and white construct. While this was not fully achieved, I learned a lot and had a good time.
