My Ruby World, 2009
I finally finished my piece for the Johnson County Community College Art Auction - yay! In celebration of their ruby anniversary (40 years!), the theme this year is Ruby. Each participating artist was given a really cool box filled with Ruby colored art supplies: ruby oil paint, ruby ink, ruby pastels, etc. If I think of it, I'll take a picture of the box. While I didn't use most of the supplies, I did use the ink which I am now in love with! Using this much ruby was a challenge, but a lot of fun!
Anyway, here's my piece. It's 18x24 inches, done mostly in acrylic, and various inks and poscas, on board.
