Washington Sub Commuters
An eastbound commuter train is about to cross under Powder Mill Rd in Beltsville, MD behind two B&O steam generator equipped GP9s. I don't know the name of the industry at left, but maps show it labeled as "Beltsville team track" which would be incorrect since it is most certainly an industry (the highly specialized N&W boxcars further this theory). Note exPM/C&O coach #1700 bringing up the rear now wearing WM circus colors. This slide has a June 1974 processing date, no exact date listed. Ray Slagle photo, JL Sessa collection.
