L'exposition virtuelle Passages : regard sur l'art public commémoratif à Montréal a été réalisée à l'Université du Québec à Montréal dans le cadre du cours Organisation d'une exposition qui s'est déroulé de septembre à décembre 2010. Le projet a bénéficié de précieuses collaborations : du Bureau d'art public de la Ville de Montréal, qui a alimenté la réflexion et les recherches autour du corpus d'œuvres commémoratives, des artistes dont les œuvres sont présentées et, enfin, du Service de l'audiovisuel de l'Université du Québec à Montréal, qui a créé le concept graphique et réalisé la programmation de l'exposition. Nous remercions tous nos partenaires pour leur temps et leur générosité.
Outre l'objectif d'offrir une expérience concrète de réalisation muséale aux étudiants, l'exposition vise à mettre en valeur une série de vingt œuvres d'art public présentes sur le territoire de Montréal. Vingt œuvres d'art et autant d'étudiants pour tracer un parcours virtuel à travers le temps, l'espace, la mémoire et les sens.
The virtual exhibition Passages: A look at public art memorial in Montreal was conducted at the University of Quebec at Montreal under the Organization during an exhibition held from September to December 2010. The project has benefited from valuable collaborations: the Office of Public Art City of Montreal, which has fueled research and reflection around the corpus of commemorative works, artists whose works are presented and, finally, the Service broadcasting from the University of Quebec at Montreal, who created the graphic design and production planning of the exhibition. We thank all our partners for their time and generosity.
Besides the goal of providing practical experience for students achieving museum, the exhibition aims to showcase a series of twenty works of public art present on the territory of Montreal. Twenty works of art and so many students to draw a virtual journey through time, space, memory and senses.
