WC 3006 - 5/13/1991
When the Wisconsin Central Ltd acquired their small fleet of seventeen EMD GP40s from Gateway Western in 1990, one of the trains they could regularly be found on was Milwaukee turn symbols T046/T047.
Depending on the amount of tonnage scheduled to be brought back up to Shops Yard, there may have been anywhere from two to four GP40s assigned to this daily train.
In this scene near Duplainville captured the afternoon of May 13th, 1991 - Three of these four-axle diesel locomotives have just brought train T047 off the Soo Line and are now back on WC property heading timetable west. ~~ A Jeff Hampton Photograph ©
