BNSF 4578 on WC - Ackerville - 12/18/1999

After having been holding in the siding at Slinger, Wisconsin for several hours, an eastbound Wisconsin Central loaded coke train with a pair of BNSF C44-9Ws and a CSX (ex-Conrail) B36-7 is once again underway and rounding the curve just south of town.

I did not have any information in my log book on this trains symbol and I don’t remember seeing loaded coke trains running on the WC very often at all - so I considered myself very fortunate to have caught this train especially with the extra bonus of the two brand new BNSF units leading. – December 18th, 1999 ~~ A Jeff Hampton Photograph ©
