George with George
I submitted my portrait of George to the Immigrant Services Society of British Columbia's New Faces of Vancouver exhibition and it was one of 32 photos selected to be displayed at Centre A, the Vancouver International Centre for Contemporary Asian Art. When Mari and I arrived at the show's opening, the first thing we saw was George proudly standing in front of his portrait... positively beaming with this incredible, confident, and super happy smile. Thanks so much to Chelsea and Helen and everyone at the ISSBC, plus all of the judges for supporting me and selecting two of my photos for the exhibition. I really had an amazing time at the opening checking out all of the incredible works displayed in the gallery. Congrats as well to the other photographers for all of their hard work... lots of talent on display at Centre A! May 15, 2009.
Oh, and if you're in Vancouver, the exhibit runs for just one more day... Saturday, May 16. Check it out!
