Sea Glass

When I was young, my family would go to the beach all the time, all year round. We spent most of our time at the beach looking for treasures- shells, sea glass, sand dollars, corral, shark teeth, china, even marbles!

Recently I decided to start photographing these specimens. It's been such an enjoyable experience because I'm finding that each and every piece is tied to a memory. I remember being filled with pride each time I found an especially unique thing- I would run to show my mom and she would put it in a bag with the rest of the day's findings.

This composition is made from a jar where we collected all the sea glass that was a rare color.
