Lovely trees being chopped down to make way for the new National Graphene Institute.

 

I'm all for progress and everything, but is it really necessary to chop all these trees down? Manchester needs all the greenery it can get, especially since the City Council is so fond of building on playing fields and ruining green space (e.g. with One Piccadilly Gardens en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Piccadilly_Gardens_
