Week 1 - New Beginnings

There had a been a community tree planting drive in a garden near where I live, but unfortunately I missed taking part and taking photos. Instead I got this shot of their hard work, a literal new leaf.

 

I was trying to compose the shot framing the setting sun behind it with a low aperture, considering the rule of thirds and aligning the branch diagonally. The subject itself may be slightly cliché, but the thought behind it was new to me and I learned something from it.
