A Thorens Gramophone Music Box. The box to the left holds 5 discs that fit into the back of the Music Box:
Tales of Vienna Woods, Faust Chorus, Blue Danube, La Traviata, and Lorelai.
The Thorens company was established in 1883 by Hermann Thorens in Sainte -Croix, Switzerland and produced music boxes and clock movements. In 1903, they issued their first phonograph.
The Music Box division was sold to Reuge in 1985, but the modern day Thorens turntables are highly acclaimed.
