KAMLOOPS LAKE
Photograph taken at 11:29am at an altitude of One Thousand two hundred and seventy nine metrres on Saturday 13th September 2014 looking down on Kamloops Lake. The lake is situated on the Thompson River just West of kamloops, and is over One and a half kms wide and Twenty nine kms in length with a maximum depth of One hundred and fifty two metres.
Leaving our family Cabin on a secluded Adams Lake, we set off on a sloe and scenic journey towards the Crystal Lodge Hotel in Whistler Village for a three night stay. We are now a couple of hours into the journey and have passed through the town of Chase, and Kamloops, passing by the Lac Du Bois Grasslands Protected Area, for a quick stop overlooking the Kamloops Lake before heading on along the Trans Canada highway, past Steelhead Provincial Park.
