Haircut aftermath
Shades of when I first met Jieun's mom, but one of the first things we do in Korea is go get me a haircut. I think I've said this before, but it's shocking how much more stylish Koreans are now compared to when I was first there. But yeah, I now feel unstylish for being an American in Korea, which is somewhat odd.
Hairstyle in particular has changed a lot. So like, short tapered hair is out. It's all about longish hair, but still kinda spiky on top. The messed up look is in. And highlights are out. They all dye their hair a solid color now, no streaks. None of this looks appealing to me, so it's just like shoes, I have no idea what looks good, I just have to go with something and hope it looks OK.
So she cuts my hair in a very weird way, trying as much as possible to make it stick up. Dunno if you can tell in this pic, but yeah, that's the look. It looked absolutely awful to me, so if I look dazed in this pic, there's a reason.
