A trip down Memory Lane
By way of a change from contemporary stuff here's a shot of an unidentified two-car Metropolitan Cammell unit, thought to be a class 101, standing in the bay at Hartlepool station.
The station clock reads 9.25am and the passenger activity towards the rear of the train suggests departure time is imminent - which would in fact be correct, this is the 9.32am service to Darlington (2N67)
The driver, dressed in shirt, tie and a BR cap typical of the day, looks pretty relaxed - perhaps he has his can of tea perched on the dashboard keeping him company for the journey.
