Three of Guernseybus' Bristol LH fleet are seen parked up outside the depot in St.Peter Port. The coaches were used for private hire, hotel transfers and so on. Most bus services were in the hands of ex-London Transport "BL" class Bristol LHs, such as no. 61 in the centre. The narrow roads of Guernsey meant the States of Guernsey ordered that no vehicles wider than 7'6" could be used.
The buses shown here are (left to right) 157 (31909), new to Soudley Valley as JFH473N, 61(31928) new to London Transport as BL43 (OJD 43R) and 171 (31921) new to Western National as 3316 (AFJ 736T).
