(B217 ) KESR "Gervase" Vert Boiler at Rolvenden. Sep'68

Three shots that didnt make my Flickr batch taken on my KESR first visit on 2nd,September 1968, "Gervase" was a vertical boiler , converted from a Manning Wardle 1900 built conventional loco,. It was used for shunting at the KESR for a few years but here sees it laid up at Rolvenden -quietly rusting away. After a complete restoration , it was steaming again ,for a few months in 2013 on the GCR. and back to the KESR for their May gala - but where it has got to in 2023 -I know not!
