Next Sunday sees the 4th London Flickr Group Photowalk and given our start point is Canary Wharf I thought we'd take a small detour to visit the Adams Plaza Bridge, as 'redecorated' by the artist Camille Walala.

If you live in the London area (or even if you don't.....) and you're free on Sunday 8th, May then you're welcome to join us for the afternoon. More info here : www.flickr.com/groups/londonflickrgroup/discuss/721577219...

From the Canary Wharf website, "Created for the first ever London Mural Festival in September 2020, Camille Walala reimagined Adams Plaza Bridge with enchanting geometric shapes and every aspect of the colour wheel. Following the success of London Mural Festival, Camille’s playful yet impactful design has now become part of our permanent art collection.

The artwork was inspired by the architectural details and pronounced perspective of the striking structure, Walala used the tunnel-like bridge as a canvas transforming the space into a surprising and vibrant backdrop for visitors.

Playing with the long perspective of the tunnel, the colourful design shows an optical pattern that shrinks and elongates as it moves across the bridge, creating a distorted effect as visitors pass through. By walking up and down the bridge visitors will also notice two different moods are created by her iconic colour work." Source : canarywharf.com/whats-on/captivated-by-colour-camille-wal...
