Champs Elysees @ Night
I first tried this photo when I visited Paris with Vicky in 2013. My collapsible tripod back then was rubbish and was missing a key part which I only discovered when I tried to use it and so was something of a hindrance. So I had a better one this time (and a better camera and release switch) and set myself up on a traffic island on the Champs Elysees. I missed the Christmas lights on the trees by a couple of weeks (you can see the lights hanging from the trees but now turned off) but the result is still a lot lot better than in 2013! I shot an awful lot of photos from this spot with many still being not wholly in focus or blinded by approaching cars. But this is probably the best one, though perhaps still not what I was looking for. The two red 'lights' in the darkness either side of the arch are red crane lights, not a couple of 'hot pixels' fortunately!
