custom order test print

I'm working on a custom piece for someone who had 2 sister kittens and one passed away, they wanted both cats in the portrait together -- both are black cats so this is the test proof on newsprint.

I was going for a folk art kind of effect so the one cat asleep on the bed may be dreaming of the passed away sister cat or maybe the spirit of the sister cat is hovering over looking after the sleeping cat and as you pass the door the spirit cat sees you and starts to float in your direction getting bigger as she hovers closer...

 

I think so far I'm happy with how this print is going. I may do some hand coloring or collage under the ink when I print the final run but being a fan of b/w I may not... we'll see
