Hot Spare Train
Due to multiple trains out of service in LNER's Mk4 fleet, compounded with delays on the network due to track and train faults, East Midlands Trains loaned a spare HST to LNER for two Leeds services.
43050 (with 43066 on the country end) arrives at Stevenage with 1A34, the 1415 service from Leeds to London King's Cross (at this point, running 25 mins behind time). This would usually be an electric service.
43050 & 43066 were called in from Cricklewood Depot as 3D11, before working 1D12, the 1133 service to Leeds. After working 1A34, the set returned to Cricklewood as 3F63.
