GULF OF THAILAND (Feb. 18, 2013)— Combat Cargo Marines, assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, await cargo as an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter, assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC 25), drops supplies on the flight deck of the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) during a vertical replenishment with the Military Sea Lift Command Fleet Replenishment Oiler USNS Rappahannock (T-AO 204). The Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group, currently on deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations, is taking part in Cobra Gold, a Thai-U.S. co-sponsored multinational joint exercise designed to advance regional security by exercising a robust multinational force from nations sharing common goals and security commitments in the Asia-Pacific region.
