KUANTAN, Malaysia (Jun 7, 2011) U.S. Coast Guard Emergency Medical Technician 2nd Class Thomas Kimberly demonstrates inserting an emergency nasopharyngeal airway on Malaysian Coast Guardsman Cpl. Rozal's, part of a boarding team emergency medical training course. The course, where guardsmen from both countries practiced procedures on one another, was part of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Malaysia 2011. CARAT is a series of bilateral exercises held annually in Southeast Asia to strengthen relationships and enhance force readiness.
