Cutter Bear Patrol
U.S. Coast Guard Ens. Cassandra Haimer, a commissioned officer aboard USCGC Bear (WMEC 901), reports her deck department as present and accounted for to Lt. Cmdr. Steven Volk, the Executive Officer of Bear, North Atlantic Ocean, Aug. 30, 2022. The Bear and its crew are participating in a Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organization (NAFO) patrol to promote a rules-based order around fisheries which in-turn protects living maritime resources and bolsters international partnerships.
