The Center for International Policy and Innovation co-hosted a DC Discussions event with Heinz College Washington DC on November 13, 2014. "Olympic Opportunity: Going for the Gold or Spending in the Red?" explored the complex business of bidding for mega-events. The event featured remarks from Ngiste Abebe and Trina Bolton, co-authors, Bidding for Development; Dr. Dennis Coates, University of Maryland Department of Economics; Chris Watts, Managing Director, 4POINT4; and John A.
