On January 19, 2012, CMU’s Heinz College | Washington DC campus and Carnegie Mellon University's Center for International Policy and Innovation (CIPI) celebrated the release of the new book Preventing Electoral Violence in Africa.

Co-authored by Ambassador Jendayi Frazer, CIPI Director and Distinguished Service Professor at Carnegie Mellon University, and E. Gyimah-Boadi, Executive Director of the Ghana Center for Democratic Development, the book grew out of a conference that CIPI and CDD-Ghana organized of the same name in Accra, Ghana. The event featured a conversation and Q&A with Dr. Frazer and Dr. Pearl Robinson, Associate Professor of Political Science at Tufts University. Dr. Robert Wilburn, Director and Distinguished Service Professor of Heinz College Washington DC, hosted the evening's activities. A reception and book signing followed.
