every time i vote i think of my girl...
the first time we walked to the polls together we talked about voting for our neighbor, the candidate for county commissioner. he was at the polling place, voting alongside us.
the second time i brought her, we talked again about who i'd vote for on the way to the church basement. she seemed perplexed the whole time we were there. on the way home she asked, "but mama, where was barackobama?"
