Leaving Toledo behind

Penn Central SD45's 6115-6173 (both ex-PRR) grind over the Toledo Terminal's double track at CP285 (Vickers) as they head east. I know, I sometimes jump all over the place with my photo stream, please bear with me LOL.

Last winter, I scanned a BUNCH of these old 35mm B&W negatives, a format that I didn't use all that much. I generally carried an old Yashica mat with me, but given its somewhat slow lens at times I'd use a spare SLR loaded with Tri-X in low light conditions such as this. This particular day was one of those occasions: dark and rainy at times, interspliced with brilliant sunshine. Judging by the number of trains that afternoon, PC was extremely busy with all kinds of interesting power lash ups. I always have liked those big SD45's, they looked and sounded amazing. May 1975
