#FlashbackFriday - On a snowy February morning, St. Louis Car Company's R42 is seen running on the BMT Sea Beach line as it pops out of the tunnel at 20th Ave in south Brooklyn. The train is bound for Manhattan and eventually, Astoria, Queens. The R42 cars were originally built in 1969/70. The final cars were retired from service in 2020, being replaced. by the R160 and R179 cars.
