"Jigsaw"

Prawle Point South Hams Coast Devon.

"Ramblings"

If i`m doing one of my coastal birding photography ambles around East Prawle I frequantly finnish the rest of my day down at island rock a favorite spot of mine and a bonus as its only a 20 minute walk back to the carpark when I feel I`ve had enough for the day.

Many reasons why I enjoy spending time at this location.

A rugged and beautiful spot with lovely views along the coastal cliffs and out to sea to enjoy along with an ideal place to watch the world through your bino`s.

I very rarely see any people apart from those out on boats or on the odd occasion someone rod and line sea fishing so its a perfect spot to soak up a little solitude.

Its also a lovely spot to enjoy the sunshine while it also has some very comfortable areas to layback and take in an afternoon nap especially if I have been up and out of bed at silly-oclock to be on location for sunrise.

On the bird photography side its a location I can chillout let my hair down and have some creative fun with the intention of making some arty type images with the small herring gull colony while something to fall back on those days i`m not having to mutch success elsewhere with the passerines etc.

Its taken a while with many sessions at the island but I now have a good idea of the kind of images I want to capture on location before I finnish off with a little creativr freedom in Adobe Photoshop.
