This view is from the edge of a skiing piste of the two-country skiing region Kanzelwand/Fellhorn.
Kleinwalsertal is a beautiful small valley in the western part of Austria. Even though it belongs to Vorarlberg/Austria, it only can be accessed by road from Bavaria/Germany due to the mountains. The mountains around this valley belong to the Allgäu Alps.
The Widderstein (in the middle of this shot, 8,320 ft) is the highest mountain at the southern edge of this valley. Its significant appearance also gave this mountain importance in the heraldic traditions of the people in this area.
