I found the winter already inside my bones upon awakening

The fall's soft colors seeping from my skin

Adorn me with a crown that reeks of death

And let the cold's dark season now begin.

This is Demeter, Maia's sister. While Maia was born in spring and brings colors and flowers blooming, Demeter is the bringer of cold and decay.

 

I made Maia when I bought a flower crown. The idea for Demeter came from finding a nice piece of bark on the ground, which I turned into the crown in the photo.
