Leaf Cutter Bee. (M)

Megachile angelarum.

 

Looks like a can opener with wings. Seen here on a snowberry plant in the front yard.

 

This bee is about 1/2 inch (1.25cm) and cuts little circular notches out of the edges of leaves for its nest.
