Auto-Takumar vs. Super-Takmar

The name notwithstanding, the Auto-Takumar 55/2.2 uses a semi-automatic diaphragm. It closes automatically to shooting aperture; but it must be manually re-cocked to full aperture using the silver lever seen on the top.

The Super-Takumar has an instant-reopen diaphragm. It also has a slider at the 2-o' clock position switching between auto and manual diaphragm, which functions as a depth of field preview if desired.
