These almshouses were really difficult to photograph, because they were just a series of little courtyards, with the rooms off. As can be seen, the builders and decorators were in when we visited.
Some of the buildings are old - 15th century on the west range, 16th century on the north. They were given to the Society of Friends (Quakers) in 1697 by Daniel Taylor.
