Frozen in Time
I love landscapes that are so still they appear to be frozen in time. However, this metaphor for time actually halting is a little mistaken. Factually, one would need to be traveling at the speed of light to stop the passage of time--not something I'll be doing anytime soon I can tell you. You can thank Albert Einstein for dispelling your illusions of what it takes to be truly still.
