Sunrise at Sinai

I'm hardly a religious person, so climbing Mount Sinai had no special meaning to me like it does to many other Christians. But the sheer hard work of getting up there in subzero temperature (actually, more work required when coming down the 3,750 Steps of Repentance <- I kid you not)....

And seeing this magnificent sunrise while perched on a cliff's edge, huddled in our sleeping bags to keep warm was one helluva experience.

Thanks for the light, Egypt - I'm having massively nostalgic feelings of the days of being on the road but strangely enough, I don't crave to be away at this moment. The time in this amazing country would be something I hold very very dear to my heart for this lifetime.
