Crash, Bang, Wallop!
Those on FB will have already seen this but for those who aren't ............guess what happened?
During the early hours of the morning on the day we were due to fly out to Sri Lanka, I got up to go to the loo and tripped over my suitcase sending me crashing against furniture in our bedroom. Although it hurt like crazy I thought at that point that I had just pulled a muscle and went back to bed (crazy I know). At 5.30am I woke up in agony and so Phill called for an ambulance and off to hospital we went. Obviously at this point we thought the holiday was a non starter. After being x-rayed it turned out I had dislocated my right shoulder and although I had massive bruises and two black eyes it was felt that I could still go on holiday as long as I didn't do anything to strenuous (some of that a little later). I was strapped up and discharged at a little after noon. We left for the airport mid afternoon and made the ten hour flight to Sri Lanka. Big gold star to Sri Lanka airlines - their employees are the best!
So my trip to Sri Lanka was not as it should be but at least we made it. You will note along the way that my photos are a little more blurred than usual - lol - but at least I managed to take some.
