Galileo thermometer

A galileo thermometer is a thermometer in the form of a closed glass cylinder containing a transparent liquid hydrocarbon and various (often colored) glass bubbles. It is named after Galileo Galilei. With a change in temperature, the bubbles rise or fall. Each weight has its own characteristic temperature at which it begins to float in the liquid
