Low tide at St Ives, Cornwall

When the tide is out at St Ives in the far west of Cornwall there is a lovely large sandy beach in the harbour, where the boats sit stranded until the sea returns. It's an ideal place for a walk, providing you either wear boots or take your shoes off. This was taken fairly early in the morning. Later on the promenade will become packed with visitors to this delightful seaside town. This little corner of St Ives has several delightful very old buildings, including the pink-painted Georgian building towards the right.
