Pendulum Packer (2)

Looking down into the hopper of a Superior Pak we see the pendulum blade extended or lowered, being its home position where it pretty much seals the body aperture. You can very clearly see the hinge point at which the side arm connects to, with a hydraulic cylinder attached to the arm behind the steel covers. Looking in this direction you see the body hole, which isn’t too big to allow crap to overflow into the hopper and too small for blockages or density jams to occur. Even force is applied across the face of the blade, given duplicated actuation power on both sides, plus I’ve always believed this design is prone to less wear with the resistance created by the downward motion and symmetrical connection points. Also don’t get bulky blockages on these things like you potentially can with a paddle, only does block if the object is too big for the hole or when the body is actually packed out!
