Risen Christ, Wyken
The Risen Christ church was built in the 1960s after the ancient St Mary Magdalene's church immediately adjoining it was considered too small for the postwar population. Today both churches are used, often on alternating weekends.
The Risen Christ is a very functional building, its exterior not obviously 'church-like' beyond the rooftop cross. Inside there is some coloured and textured-slab glass enlivening the north east corner.
