MATCHBOX 2010 HONDA INSIGHT MK2 NO2 1/64
On my many visits to the beautiful coastal town of Sitges in Spain I always come away with some diecast purchases ranging from Guisval, Welly, RMZ City, Hot Wheels and of course a plethora of no brand Chinese stuff from the bazaars but one brand I didn't expect to find was Matchbox who i'm not even certain are officially available in Spain anymore though it would be handy if anyone could tell me different. Because of this it was a great surprise to discover this new old stock 2010 Honda Insight in the large toy shop on the outskirts in their clearance bin and was a great reminder of how good and diverse the MBX range used to be when licensed castings far outnumbered the generics! The odd looking Honda hybrids pseudo futuristic styling has been captured perfectly with some great tampo work at both ends and beautifully finished in this metallic maroon colour. I don't expect to find anymore in this store anytime soon though its nice to think such old stock can still be found cheaply in the most unexpected places. Bought on my December 2016 visit. Mint and boxed.
