Troublemaker, and lucky to be alive

We had a crazy Saturday. I made a carmelized onion & goat cheese tart, and set it on the table to cool. Well, Maggie had other ideas for that tart. We busted her standing on the table (??) eating all of the ONIONS off the top of the tart, which had about 3 onions total. I thought I had read that onions were bad for dogs, so I quickly googled and saw that they are toxic. I called the vet (luckily, open on Saturday!) and they told me, "You need to bring her in immediately." Despite induced vomiting, Maggie is no worse for wear and is expected to have no ill effects. My wallet, on the other hand... and my nerves.... let's just say it was an expensive weekend! But of course, it's all worth it.
