New Haven Railroad station view to the north with the Springfield Line to the right the and New Britain Line to the left at Berlin, Connecticut, ca 1920's. The Springfield Line to the right ran from New Haven, Connecticut via Wallingford, Meriden, Berlin, Hartford, Windsor Locks to Springfield, Massachusetts. The New Britain Line to the left ran from Berlin to New Britain with a connection to the Waterbury Line. Just beyond the platform canopy on the left was a small yard area which extended for about 1/3 mile to the north. Check out the old vehicles in this scene. Do believe that is a gas railbus spotted at the left platform which perhaps was operating between Berlin and New Britain.
The name of the photographer that captured this image on film is unknown. This is a modified, enhanced and cropped photo scan that is from a B&W image that was on the Internet.
