New Haven Railroad passenger station situated in the eastern portion of the state at Jewett City, Connecticut, 1931. The station was located on the New Haven Branch Line between the New London - Groton area and Worcester, Massachusetts. Check out the two semaphore long blade style orderboard signals at the station. At this time passenger service was provided on this line, however; eventually this line became a freight line only, but with occasional assignments of passenger trains to utilize the line at other times.
The name of the photographer that captured this image on film is unknown. This is a modified, enhanced and cropped photo scan that is from a B&W photo in my personal collection.
