Chief Yallup and his son Douglas, 1928. They are photographed in Thomas Markham's photo studio in The Dalles, Oregon. The Yallup family were well known Celilo Village residents. Three years after this photo was taken, Yallup and his wife Elsie Pistolhead had another son at their winter home at Rock Creek, Washington, December 25, 1931, Wilfred Tom Yallup, who later became a beloved leader of the Yakima Tribal Council.
