Jaguar XK120

Making its debut in 1948, the Jaguar XK120 was the fastest production car of its day. It gained considerable popularity on both sides of the Atlantic, and the very first example, chassis number 670003, was delivered to American actor Clark Gable. Given its record-breaking performance, the type soon appeared on racetracks in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe, with one highly-modified version almost winning Le Mans in 1950 (had the brakes not failed near the end of the race). The XK120 was also the first and only imported car to win a NASCAR race, the Grand National in 1954, after which foreign models were banned from competition.

Aside from a few minor tweaks—such as the brick-built grille and added gas cap—this beauty was designed entirely by SFH_Bricks. The build features a creative blend of straightforward and unconventional techniques, and each angle and curve is spot-on. I highly recommend this model as a top-notch recreation of a British automotive legend and a very neat Speed Champions-scale MOC.
