My mom is an avid ceramist. She's graduating this month and needed to have a portrait to put in her paper.
To make the connection with ceramics, I asked her to put a layer of porcelain clay on her face. We waited until it dried and we got the cracks in the clay mask.
This was shot with two Vivitar 285's to the side and behind my mom. I put my expensive striplights on the flashes for a more even light.
