...And So The Day Is Done.
This is my special boy, Savior and his boyfriend, Rascal..the beautiful long- haired red head.
For the longest time, we had no idea who owned this very beautiful cat that would come to visit my front porch and then quickly disappear. He would not let anyone touch him and would run very fast when people came around.. but he loved my special boy, Savior, as much as I did.
At first, I thought Rascal ( whom I called Kitty for the longest time ) was a girl because of the way he played and was so loving with Savior. It wasn't until I was in my backyard talking to my neighbor that I realized that Kitty was their cat, named Rascal and he was indeed a boy.
Savior has been neutered since he was a kitten and I guess Rascal has been neutered for a long time too. He's a furry little guy so no wonder it was hard to tell he was a boy, but I must say I did look. I'm glad Debbie, my neighbor, told me he was a boy or to this day, I'd still think he was a girl.
He has become Savior's very best friend. They love each other. They clean each other's faces, hold each other down and kick each other's heads in play and simply enjoy hanging out together.
Lately, Savior has been bringing Rascal to dinner....they both enjoy a saucer of milk as a special treat. I think at times Savior is a bit jealous of Rascal because now Rascal jumps up on my lap too and he never used to. Savior's ears go back as if to say..."hey, she's my Mommy"...
This evening sitting in my front yard in an old adirondak chair ...watching these two play as the sun set.. sure was enjoyable.
I'll share some of what I saw tonight....so you can pretend like you were sharing these two special guys antics with me too. : )
