Family Business c1960 Victoria-Vancouver BC ferry terminal

Most likely photographed at Swartz Bay ferry terminal, where the ferry from Victoria, BC on Vancouver Island to Vancouver city leaves from. A large "Bray's Transfer" semi-trailer truck is approaching the ferry loading ramp from the waiting area parking lot; its cargo is a puzzle.....batteries, gasoline cans, or....?

Until "horse-less" carriages and buses came along, family members of ours owned a coach and horses company, "Bray's Transfer", that focused on moving freight and groups of people around in Victoria, capital city of British Columbia, Canada. Eventually the freight side of the business changed to diesel trucks such as this one and the one in the link photo below. Bray's Transfer was eventually taken over by a larger company, Johnston Terminals, in 1962.

The contemporary cars following the truck give some clues to the date but please add any comments:

- behind the Bray's truck: sports car, perhaps a Bristol or Porsche c1960

- behind sports car: 1958 Chev Bel Air and '58 Vauxhall Velox/Cresta

- car pulling caravan : 1958 Ford Fairlane.
